I am 14 and have had acne for about a year and a half now. All of the big red pimples are gone and seem to be not coming back. But my problem is the little scars underneath the skin that you can barely see but when you get close up you can see it. I am scared that my scars will be with me forever. I've been using Mederma and it seems to be working already. It's not incredibly cheap and I suggest buying the larger tube, but it's much cheaper than laser treatments and chemical peels that you would have to get in an office.

I have thousands a white spots from acne on my back. Will tanning help cover them or no? I am also interested in tanning because It covers cellulite and helps with existing blemishes. I am just wondering about the white spots. No bogus answers!!Will tanning cover up my acne scars?

No, it will actually make them even darker/more visible because the scarred skin is alot thinner than the rest of your skin. Dont try and tan them, it will only make them worst, they wont blend in with the rest of your skin. Use a high SPF sunscreen to prevent them from getting darker.
The best cure is to try and get rid of your acne, to prevent future scarring. I sed t have bad acne, and am currently taking Trimephrim/roaccutaine which must be prescribed by a GP. They have alot of side effects but are causing my acne to dissapear, my skin is really clear, and the acne scars are slowly fading.

If these are only recent flea bites, hopefully they aren't too deep and the scars won't be permanent. If they are knew, there's one main rule: DON'T SCRATCH! If you do scratch, it could make the bites permanent.
If you have had these bites for a while (a few months), there is the chance that they will still go away on their own. Some scars heal properly of their own accord. If they do not heal, they are permanent, and there are certain laser treatments that can be undertake to remove them as much as possible (though these are expensive). Other than this, I am not sure if lemon juice would fade the bites - it may just aggravate them depending on the sensitivity of your skin.

I have pretty gnarly skin on my arms. I come from a family of pale as a ghost, where all we do is burn and freckle. I've noticed on my arms, my scars are not as noticeable since I've been working outside a lot. Use a good sunscreen though. You don't want sun poisoning.

you can cover scar tissue with a tattoo. there's actually a place in san francisco that specializes in only scar coverings (if you live in cali...i don't but i googled 'tattoos covering scars' because i want one too and it just popped up. lol.). if your scar is not too big i'd get some chinese lettering. i really really want that on my scar (which goes straight down my spine) but mine is really long and i don't think the letters would do a really good job of actually covering. but whatever you do, make sure you loveeee it. good luck!

Eh, I have scars from a suicide attempt, scars from a car accident, surgery scars, scars from an incident as a kid (dad thought best way of getting rid of bug bites was to hold me down in bleach...) They're mostly in places people can't see, except for the suicide attempt scars.
They're ugly and embarrassing and they're a major reason I'm not pursuing a relationship. I feel like if someone could handle my personality faults, any other physical issues I have, my economic status, I think the scars would be the last straw.

i personaly say Vitamin E oil because it heals dry skin. areas where you have had breakouts and now have scars..are usually dry and flaky. i would use the Vitamin E oil because it not only heals the chapped/dry/ flacky area but it soothes and softens the skin leaving behind a heathy look and feel. plus it is an oil that ur skin already has and sometimes not enough so this might be what it takes! hope this helps.. bio oil has worked the best for all the customers i have recommended it to (I'm a beauty advisor) and i haven't heard any complaints about it yet!

It usually happens when there is some sort of trauma to the skin that forces it to produce more melanin than necessary as a form of protection. Over time, the production of melanin decreases and the skin returns to it's natural color. If you would like to accelerate the lightening process, you can use a natural remedy of lemon juice, which is known to lighten hair and skin, although I wouldn't recommend this on an open lesion as it will sting something awful.
Anyway, slice open a lemon, squeeze the juice into a cup, and soak a cotton ball in the lemon juice. Once thoroughly wet, apply the cotton ball to the afflicted area and keep it there for about 5 minutes. Repeat this every day for a week and you'll notice a significant difference.

The week that i had bad acne, i noticed that it really started to clear up my skin. Aloe vera is also good in regards to other health benefits too. Note: if you do consider buying a aloe vera plant, the taste is really bitter, so i would suggest just drinking water to reduce the taste even though you'll somewhat still taste it. If you don't wanna choose that route, than you can try some pure vitamin E oil. Vitamin E definitely works wonders for the skin, hair, and your nails. You can check your local vitamin store.

i have fair skin too, i also wear bronzer. it is really hard these days to find one that blends well and doesnt make you look orange. the best place to put a bronzer is on your cheek bones, forehead, and bridge of your nose. i use Perscriptives Sunsheen Bronzing Trio in Light. it works great. if you have acne scars, DO NOT use a bronzer with sparkle in it (as many of them do), it brings lots of attention to them. to hide the acne scars, use a concealer that helps them actually go away as it conceals like Almay Clear Complexion Concealer. to apply the bronzer correctly, you need a good, big, soft brush. i use Clinique Bronzer Blender Brush. make sure you dont keep putting your brush back into the bronzer, or it will look funny and caked on. instead, swirl your brush around the bronzer, tap it on the side of the compact, and then start to apply it. you can dip it back in a time or two, just dont go crazy with it. good luck :) hope this helps!
