I have about 8 tiny scars left by acne + I still have a little bit of acneHow do you get rid of acne scars in less than a year?
Alpha Hydroxy...anything with that in it.It resurfaces your skin. Or if you have the $ get a chemical peelHow do you get rid of acne scars in less than a year?
Some scars will never really disappear. You can have laser procedure to help this, but if you are still having breakouts, it would seem premature to do this at this stage (I'm 30 and I still have breakouts.)
I like a product from Neutrogena called the Acne Fade Peel. It is about $12-13 (last time I bought it, a long while ago) but one package will last a long while. You use it, quite sparingly, 2-3 times a week, leave it on your face for 5-10 minutes and then rinse it away. I think it does make a difference after using it for a few weeks, and it also helps to treat breakouts that you already have.
Also, look into learning how to conceal your acne scars properly, the right type of make-up. There is green tinted concealer and yellow tinted concealer that, when used properly under foundation or other flesh toned concealer really do make a huge difference. Any book by Kevyn Aucoin will teach you how to properly apply concealer (and everything else, for that matter.)
Use a Scar Treatment. For post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation (brown or red marks on the skin) try something like ';Zenmed's Scar Treatment Kit';, Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel. Mederma is also a good ';spot'; treatment. For ';ice picks'; or ';crater-like'; scars, which are actual dents in the skin, often the most effective treatment is seeing a doctor.
Moisturize and protect. Always use an oil-free moisturizer that has SPF. Try Body Guard Exquisitely Light SPF 30 For Face %26amp; Body.
Triple Antibiotic ointment If you put this on overnight, it will fade your scars and get rid of them. Don't put too much on in one spot, it can cause your skin to get overly oily
Tips:
Avoid touching your face. Your hands can transfer additional oil to an infected area.
Scars tend to be more noticeable on pale skin. You can combat this with a safe self-tanner (not to be confused with tanning booths and/or sun-tanning, which are unhealthy for your skin). You could also buy a natural redness - countering concealer.
Neosporin is ideal for speeding up healing time thus causing lesser scarring. There is also Neosporin Scar Solution.
You can use plain yogurt to help fade scars. Apply it to your face twice daily. It will moisturize your face, purify it and your skin will heal much faster.
Apply aloe vera or vitamin E; it will speed up the healing process.
Cocoa butter is a rich moisturizer that is very effective. Try Palmer's Scar Serum. It contains Cocoa butter, Vitamin E, Shark Liver Oil, Silicone, and Allium CEPA and is around $15 available from most chemists.
Use lemon on scars daily, but use moisturizer before going to bed as the lemon may cause dry skin.
Honey Mixed with lemon %26amp; almond oil and milk = acne free
Moisture helps scars heal, so be sure to moisturize (But be careful of heavy moisturizers that can clog pores).
Do TCA peels of 12% three weeks apart. Amazing, effective, and inexpensive.
Aloe-vera often helps. If you rub the gooey inside of an aloe-vera plant on the affected area, you will see results in a matter of days. Do it once or twice a day, and simply leave it on. Aloe-vera also helps to eradicate acne scars.
For mild scars and cuts, using Neoporin works well. Put a little on each morning and night after cleansing your face.

Getting rid of acne scars does take quite a bit of time to get rid of, but it can most definitely be taken care of in less than a year. I've been using Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel for the past five months and my acne scars are almost completely gone.
i suggest using coco butter lotion. it will clear the dark spots left behind my pimples . if u use it every night and whenever you shower it wont take more that 2 and a half months.
BUT REMEMBER TO USE IT CONSISTANTLY
Buy Wheat germ capsels.
poke a hole in them, and rub the liquid into your scars.
do this once or twise a day.
it's also good for dry skin, and it's rich in vitamins.
^.^
what i do is put a little bit of neosporin (if thats how you spell it?) right before i go to bed, it sounds wierd but it always works for me (:
I had the same problem.. Use bio oil... Its brilliant.. Use it twice a day until the scars are gone or improved and see what happens.
Vitamin E, prayer, Proactiv, regular scrubs with water and towel.
Retina %26amp; mederma with SPF 15 ~ See a dermatologist.
Proactive or clean and clear proactive might be to expensive
