ive had really bad acne for the past year or 2 so bad that once the pimple does go away it leaves red to purpleish marks in its place im sick of having scars and acne on my face what is a good way to get rid of them for good?I have really bad acne and scars on my face what is a good way to get rid of it for good?
I highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend going to see a dermatologist. I suffered from bad acne and scarring for years, and spent way too much money on crappy OTC products that didn't do a thing, or made my acne even worse (Proactiv wrecked my face). I went to a derm and within a year my skin was 80% better...now it's 100% clear! I only wish I went sooner.
Everyone's skin in different and the derm will diagnose you, but just for reference, what mine did was prescribe an oral antibiotic for a short period of time, and long term use of DUAC gel and Differin. For skincare, I just use Eucerin Sensitive Skin products (it's cheap and you can get them from the drugstore). I am SO happy, this is the best my skin has ever looked. I actually went out without make up the other day and was elated.
Just be patient, and follow what your derm tells you. I know someone who complains that the derm did not help, but she doesn't at all follow her derm's instructions, and she only inconsistently uses her products. The prescription stuff takes time and consistency to work, but in my case, I was getting better in just a couple months.
PS check with your insurance, my insurance covered my derm visits and also my meds, i just had a small copay. This will save you even more money.
Best of luck!I have really bad acne and scars on my face what is a good way to get rid of it for good?
Neutrogena ';Advanced Solutions'; now has a mask out that you can put on 2ce a week and it lightens the marks on your face. Trust me I had the same problem I would always be left with a dark red mark on my face after the pimple went away. Ive been using this stuff for a month now and the difference is amazing. :)

There is a procedure out there where they use a laser to resurface your skin. Its not harsh at all and is great for all skin types. Its called the Fraxe l Laser. Look it up and see if there's any dermatologists in your area that offer that service. Its pricey though : /
It sounds like you have really bad papules. You need to see a dermatologist. You might have an issue with bacteria or something else.
