Tanning actually makes scars stand out, I forget the exact reason why, I think it something like anytime your skin tans your skin becomes damaged and when you have a scar which is damaged skin it makes it worseWould getting a tan get rid of, or lessen the appearance of scars?
Having a tan would probably lessen the noticability of small scars, for the short term, but in the long run, the sun damage will probably make them look worse.
yellowcellica actually has it right. Tanning makes scars stand out like a sore thumb. I tan very easily and my scars stand out more.
tanning damages the skin in the long run, don't do it to hide scars
