I want to join the Navy but I have noticeable scars on my arms. I heard they DQ people with scars of that sort. The incident of self injury took place 7 years ago. Im not crazy and I regret doing what I did. Im scared my lifes ambition to become a sailor is now ruined by a mistake I made when I was 12 years old.Can you join the military with scars from past self injury? ?
That should not be an issue. Talk to a Navy recruiter and ask their opinion first. Can you join the military with scars from past self injury? ?
I don't think they'll hold that against you, it happened so long ago.
