How do i get rid of scars?

i used to cut and some of them got so deep that i needed stitches, but didn't because i didn't want anyone knowing about it. so now i am left with these horrible scars and i REALLY want to get rid of them. im not into the whole hippy herbs or what not and plastic surgery is out of the question. if your going to say something like 'well you shouldn't have done it in the first place' or anything like that, i don't want your comments; the main thing is that i don't do it anymore. suggestions would be muchly appreciated :)How do i get rid of scars?
i no iv done it , it does take a verry long time but they do start to fade , the memory just stays there. try boi oil or put vasaline on it then rap it in clingfilm works wonders , hope this helped :) xxHow do i get rid of scars?
Cocoa Butter is one of the best ways to heal scars. Many women use it on stretch marks, it's the main ingredient in any tattoo healing cream, and I've heard several attestations for using it on burns and other scars. You can get a giant tub of it at Wal-Mart for next to nothing. Use it everyday, liberally. It smells good too : )

I was once given Mederma for scars which is sold over the counter at Rite Aid or CVS. It may work well, but it's very thick and smells funny. It may be worth a shot, but I'd use it with the Cocoa Butter too (who knows, that might be what's in Mederma!)

Good luck.
You dont want to try 'hippy herbs' as you call it but vitamin E oil is good for scars and there are other products that 'claim' to be good for scars. I would try vitamin E oil rubbed into the scars but it would take doing it everyday for a long while and it still wont rid you of them completely. Good for you that you are not cutting anymore xx
im a ex cutter too and had a few surgeries for other random stuff.... my surgeon told me to take a liquid vitamin E capsule and poke a hole in it and rub it on my skin. it didnt make them ';go away'; but it made them a lot lighter and less noticeable. try it you can get it at almost any drug store
honestly i dont cover mine up. if someone aske i tell them it was from a dark time in my life so they can learn from them. i thought about getting some tatoos but i think if someone can see the damage i did due to going through rough times in my life then they dont have to be covered up
Coco butter and Bio Oil is good, but it does take ages. you can kinda get rid of the scares but you can never get rid of the memories.
im not sure if u could cocmpletely make them disapear but i know how to make them a little less visible u can buy mederma or a scar remover and i also heard coco butter works good luck hope they do get less visible.

ps. i used to cut too
Congratulations on your success! Several options, cheap, and otherwise, are shown in section 16, on self harm, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris
You can't get rid of them, unless you have surgery, which you already said is out of the question.
people say bio oils good and haemorrhoid cream it is supposed to reduce them n shrink them or summat pregnant people use it for stretch marks
yeah ive heard cocoa butter works well too, its worth a shot.
Here are some products that help to remove scars (I copied all this info from http://www.getridofthings.com/getridofsc鈥?/a>

Silicone based scar sheets manufactured by companies like Neosporin can get rid of scars, to a point. Scar sheets need to be used for at least 8 weeks, wearing each sheet for at least 12 hours a day, changing the sheet every 3-4 days. If your scar doesn鈥檛 clear up after 8-10 weeks of use, chances are it鈥檚 not going to go away any time soon. Scars take time to heal, time for the old skin to slough away and new skin to replace it.

Mederma gel, which uses a scentless onion extract, can help get rid of scars. Usually Mederma is used to treat acne scars, which is why the company has focused its marketing campaign on youth. But, over a period of time鈥攗sually several months鈥攕cars that are massaged with Mederma scar treatment gel will begin to fade.

Alpha hydroxy skin treatment can help get rid of scars. Alpha Hydrox, just one of the many commercial brand names for alpha hydroxy acid, is primarily used as a facial skin care product, but because alpha hydroxy acid exfoliates any type of skin, it can be used to treat scars elsewhere. Remember though, that because scars are made up of fibroblasts, a very strong and fibrous dermal layer, exfoliating creams will take time to remove scar tissue.

**I hope this helps :)
