Is this true that Vitamin E has no any effect on scars at all?

I read an article that says It has no effect at all and it can do damage instead. Dont know for sure if it is really true and So what other alternative can we have besides vitamin e?Is this true that Vitamin E has no any effect on scars at all?
Not true! - worked for me. I had stitches on my forehead and was very good about putting vitamin E on it. I broke the capsules and squeeze it on my scar from day 1. It's the best. I prefer the capsules to the bottled kind because it's thicker and stays better.Is this true that Vitamin E has no any effect on scars at all?
It is one of the best things for scars. it makes them softer so they can fade. I really dont think a vitamin that millions of people take everyday would be harmful to your skin.

Vitamin E in pill or capsule form is fat soluble (takes longer for the body to break down) so taking it this way and in large doses can be dangerous and cause you to overdose if you're not careful. I've heard of Vitamin E being used for hormone production, cancer prevention, and as an anti-oxidant (slows aging) so it's not completely worthless. As a cream though, it may be better at preventing scars. In my opinion Vitamin C is a better alternative because it's water soluble (easier for the body to break down) and is essential to form collagen (holds our cells together) and also helps to hold our bones, teeth, and blood vessels together.
If you are asking because you have a scar and want to minimize it, I would suggest using a product called mederma. I had a surgery to remove a tumor from my abdomen that left me with a scar that was about 11 inches in length, my surgeon recommended it. Looking at it now, you would never guess that I had a major surgery less than 3 years ago.

I haven't heard anything bad about vitamin E, I've used it myself, and it sure didn't do any damage. My sister likes to use coconut oil, it made a difference for her. That's what I'm trying next.
